Mr. Deniz Susar

Deniz is a staff member at the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA). He is currently serving as the Coordinator of the UNPAN Management Unit(UMU) at the Division for Public Administration and Development Management (DPADM). He holds a Master Degree on International Political Economy and Development from Fordham University, New York, USA.  He studied Computer Engineering at the Bosphorus University of Istanbul, Turkey as well as Risk Analysis in Emerging Markets in Fordham University.  He worked in several environments in both the private and public sector:  he assumed senior project manager positions in ICT (Information Communication Technology) companies serving the social and private sector in Dublin, Ireland and  he was a Senior Consultant and Project Manager for various technology companies in Istanbul, Turkey. His work areas is the role of ICTs in developing countries in some of the following areas: e-governance and national e-strategies, digital divide, population and gender issues, agriculture sector and specifically e-agriculture,  knowledge management, technology transfer, outsourcing and software industry development.
